Jewsih connections in Targu Ocna

My grandfather Chaim Cooperman was born in Targu Ocna sometime in the 1890's. His father's name Moshe Alter Cooperman. SOmetime around 1900 the Cooperman family immigrated to Canada. Are there records of Jewish people who live in Targu Ocna in those days? Is there any record of the Jewish community there and what happen to them during World War Two? Are there Jews living there now? Perhaps, some day I will visit your city and explore my family's origin there. Thnak you, Rabbi Allan Tuffs
